Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift, 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15) Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Experience: 2 years required License: South Carolina license or Compact license must be active prior to start Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Experience with Epic and Medical/Surgical Job Description: - The position requires a Med/Surg RN to work three 12-hour shifts from 6:45am to 7:15pm with a holiday rotation. - Patient Ratios typically range between 1:6-7. - Weekend requirement is every other weekend. - No on-call responsibilities are required. - No floating to different units or facilities within the scope is needed. - Approval can be requested for accommodation of block schedules, though it is not guaranteed. - Adherence to a local radius rule of 60 miles, with locals considered at a reduced rate. - Required Time Off (RTO) must be submitted initially without amendments after submission. - Previous permanent staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler. - Candidates with a pending South Carolina license are considered but must show proof of application or complete the walk-through process. - Flu vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only. - During hurricane season (June-November, peak months August and September), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. - Orientation is 16 hours, with modules averaging 4 hours to be completed before the start.
