Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech II with a well-known industry leader in Monroe, North Carolina

In this role you will apply strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to developing and applying particle processing and material analysis techniques.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Tech II you will:
Work with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
Performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:
Good written communication skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
Experience with programming/set-up of environmental test chambers including HALT testing.
Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required.
Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred. Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
Other experience in vibration testing, salt-fog testing, and repetitive cycling testing is preferred.

Education:

BS Degree preferred OR Associates Degree with 1+ years' experience or 3 years of Laboratory experience with a High School Diploma

Pay Rate: $29.77 per hour
