Job Description:

ESSENTIAL TASKS:* Read and follow established procedures to prepare electrodes for remelting.* Efficiently set-up and turn around remelt furnaces.* Operate furnaces and make necessary adjustments according to established procedures.* Maintain accurate, complete, and legible logs, records, charts, etc.* Able to troubleshoot basic, recurring issues.* Coordinate with maintenance, instrumentation, or technical staff as needed.* Follow all prescribed safety regulations.* Report any and all unsafe acts or conditions.* Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.* Perform other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:* Operate other equipment such as saws, grinders, shot blaster, etc.* Assist other remelt, maintenance, quality personnel, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:* General high school diploma or GED.* 6 to 12 months remelt experience preferred, but 1 to 3 years manufacturing required.* Required to pass IME screening* Use ordinary arithmetic.* Able to read, understand, and work to melt procedures, specifications.* Read and use gauges controls.* Maintain required records and heat reports in a legible manner.* Capable of operating industrial controls and mobile equipment* Familiar with basic computer operation.
